HULL will be facing an '˜NRL team' in tonight's top-four battle with visitors Catalans Dragons, says veteran Leon Pryce.

Pryce joined the Black and Whites last season, after playing for Catalans from 2012-2014.

The French outfit, who are on a seven-match winning run, recruited strongly in the off-season and are reaping the benefits, beginning Round 13 second in the Super League table.

“If you look through their squad, it is an NRL team,” Pryce said.

“I am not surprised how well they are doing.

“That team they have could play in the NRL, every single one of them is a top-class, high-quality player.

“It makes for a good game, especially after we gave them a bit of a hiding at their place. They will be after a bit of revenge, I would have thought.”

Pryce will be looking to build on his performance in last week’s 46-28 victory at Wakefield, when he returned from a knee injury.

“I’m really pleased to be back,” he said.

“It is always tough after being out for a while and it was a massive win for us.

“Wakefield have been going really well lately and it was always going to be a tough game, so that made it even more pleasing.”

Hull had to dig deep after Wakefield hit back from 12-6 down to lead 28-24 early in the second half.

Pryce feels those resilient qualities will stand them in good stead tonight.

“We won by quite a big scoreline,” he added.

“It was disappointing to let them back in the game, but it was nice to win by as many as we did in the end.

“We tightened up our defence in the second half and it was massive for us to get back to winning ways.

“We are still up there in the table and that is pleasing.

“We need to kick on now and that’s the aim. There’s a fair bit to go yet and we are not getting carried away, but there’s a good atmosphere around the place.

“There’s massive improvement in us as well. You won’t win many games conceding 28 points, so we have to get on top of that and we will do.

“We will get there.”
