Hull KR centre Peta Hiku discovers disciplinary fate following Super League Grand Final incident

Hull KR centre Peta Hiku has successfully appealed against his grade E charge at a tribunal.

The New Zealand international was charged with 'unnecessary contact with a player who is or maybe injured' following an incident with Wigan Warriors second-rower Junior Nsemba in last Saturday's Super League Grand Final.

Nsemba appeared to be unconscious after the original tackle but later returned to complete the game.

Hiku could have been banned for up to five matches but he has been found not guilty by an independent operational rules tribunal.

The 31-year-old, who scored 16 tries in 32 matches in his first season with Rovers, will therefore be available for New Zealand's upcoming fixtures and the start of the 2025 Super League campaign.

Meanwhile, Wigan prop Luke Thompson is unavailable for England's first Test against Samoa after an unsuccessful appeal against a one-match suspension for grade B dangerous contact.
