Hull KR’s Ladbroke Challenge Cup semi-final with Warrington Wolves will kick-off at lunchtime to avoid a clash with city boxer Luke Campbell.

The 2012 Olympic gold medallist is fighting Tommy Coyle at Craven Park - home of the Robins - on August 1 on Sky TV.

That’s the same day of Hull KR’s semi-final, which will be screened live on BBC, at Headingley Carnegie, in Leeds.

A club statement read: “The club have worked closely with the Rugby Football League (RFL), the BBC and the Wolves to agree a 12.45pm kick-off time for the match, therefore allowing Rovers fans the opportunity to return to the city in time for the eagerly-anticipated boxing clash between Luke Campbell and Tommy Coyle at the KC Lightstream Stadium later that day.”

The semi-final will be broadcast live on BBC1 with the victor securing their place at Wembley where they will meet the winner of St Helens versus Leeds Rhinos – the other semi-final which will be held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday, July 31 (8pm) and shown live on BBC2.

Tickets for the cup tie at Headingley will go on sale to 2015 members from 9am on Friday morning.
