Hull sign Halifax youngster
He has signed an initial one-year deal, with an option in the East Yorkshire club’s favour.
Rawsthorne, 20, can also play full-back, is a confident goal kicker and has been playing for Halifax’s reserve grade having been on the books of Yorkshire Carnegie and Leeds Rhinos’ academy.

Hide AdHull head coach Lee Radford admitted: “I’m really pleased to add Nick to the squad next year.
“I think he has all the attributes to become a first-team regular for our club.
“He has been very impressive in the reserves competition this year for Halifax, particularly when he played against us, whilst his accuracy with his goal-kicking is also a real plus.
“He’s at a great age to progress his career to the next level and along with Jack Logan coming through the long-term future of our outside backs looks very promising.”

Hide AdHe will have competition for places given Hull’s other two 2017 signings so far are both centres as well - Salford Red Devils’ Josh Griffin and Huddersfield Giants’ Jake Connor.
Meanwhile, captain Gareth Ellis, 14-try full-back Jamie Shaul and in-form prop Liam Watts are all out of tomorrow night’s Super League game at Huddersfield due to injuries.
Jansin Targut, Dean Hadley and Curtis Naughton come into the league leaders’ 19-man squad.
Huddersfield are missing their own captain with Danny Brough having taken an early guilty plea for his high tackle on Wakefield Trinity’s Reece Lyne and receiving a one-game ban.
