Four of next week's round 14 matches - including Rhinos' visit of Catalans Dragons and Castleford Tigers against Hull - had been scheduled as pilot events as part of the government's plans for the return of spectators to sports events.

A total of 1,000 spectators were due to be admitted, but a rise in coronavirus cases - and stricter lockdown measures announced yesterday - have put that on hold.

That will give Wigan an extra day to prepare for their Coral Challenge Cup semi-final against Rhinos at St Helens' TW Stadium on Saturday, October 3.

Huddersfield Giants will play host to Hull KR on September 30 (5.30pm), with coverage on Our League.

The RFL have already confirmed the Challenge Cup semi-finals will be played behind closed doors.
