Sing-along video: A little respect for Hull KR's youngest fan
Charlie Worley gave Erasure a run for their money after singing along with the lyrics to ‘A Little Respect’ while travelling to the team’s first Super League game of the season against Castleford Tigers on Saturday.
His father Richard, 41, who admits his son is “obsessed” with the Robins, said: “He is a little character.
“He is a fanatical Rovers fan, and he absolutely loves (Hull KR player) Josh Mantellato.
“Charlie went to his first game at ten days old - and now he is well known at the club, shall we say.
“You want to see him around the players. He just goes and introduces himself and can’t understand why he’s not centre of attention.”
Eighties legend Bell was invited to the KC Lightstream Stadium after fans adopted the A Little Respect anthem during last season’s Challenge Cup final run which ended in a Wembley defeat to Leeds Rhinos.
A viral video of thousands of supporters singing along to the track after the semi-final victory over Warrington persuaded the club and Bell to collaborate on a cup final charity single.
And the 80’s superstar must have enjoyed Charlie’s rendition as he re-tweeted the now viral video of the blonde-haired, blue-eyed youngster singing his tune.
