He was “furious” when Worrincy – who scored 27 tries during two spells between 2005 and 2008 – went back on his word on signing a new Eagles deal ahead of the 2009 campaign, signing for Championship rivals Halifax instead, and Aston said he was “finished as far as this club is concerned”.
But Aston last night said: “Rob has matured now and I’m sure he can become a fans’ favourite once again.”
