Trinity impressed in many areas as they won at Salford on Sunday but Chester conceded: “We need another step up against a Hull FC side that will be smarting from the three losses that they have had on the bounce.

“Consistency is the key and making sure we win all our games at home.

“I'm reading from the coach (Lee Radford) at Hull and some players that they're not looking forward to playing on this cow field.

“That's great for us. We'll use that as motivation and we're looking forward to coming up against a very talented Hull FC team.”

Given the level of expenditure on the off-season, Hull boss Radford could already be feeling the heat.

The Black and Whites started well with a big win at Leeds Rhinos and then against derby rivals Hull KR but have lost against champions St Helens and at Wigan before letting an 18 point lead slip to fall at home to Catalans Dragons on Sunday.

Chester knows what the pressure cooker is like in Hull having played and coached at Hull KR but also played with FC.

Asked if Radford may already be feeling that, he said: “I don’t like to comment on things like that.

“They have a real good rosta haven’t they and have spent some big money in the off-season.

“These things take time. They've brought seven or eight players in and they've had a few injuries to cope with.

“There's no doubt that there was a lot of talk about them before a ball had even been kicked at the start of the year and a lot of expectation.

“With that there comes a lot of pressure.

“Both teams will be under pressure this week to perform really well.

“It's an important game for us in what it can do for team spirit and morale and Hull obviously need to restart their season.

“I’m not too bothered about Hull FC, more what we can do as a team and group to make sure we can get the results over the next few weeks.

“This block of four games could really shape the rest of our season and fingers crossed we do ourselves justice and get the result.”

Chester confirmed loose forward Tinirau Arona will make his first appearance since suffering an injury last May.

"It's been nine months,” he said.

“We talk about the strike players we lost last year - Bill (Tupou), Milky (Jacob Miller) and Matty Ashurst who was out a long time but in terms of leadership 'T' is probably the one we missed the most.

"He's the guy that keeps everyone together in the middle, is a real leader of the pack and when T plays well we generally play well as well.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him back out there."
