IT WAS hardly a vintage weekend for Yorkshire clubs in the FA Cup - but there were some rays of sunshine nevertheless on the personal front.

Under the microscope following the events on New Year's Day at Nottingham Forest, the young Whites keeper answered a few critics and displayed character in an impressive showing at Loftus Road.
The Hull lad showed his accomplishment in defence at a difficult venue in the New Den. Hull may have exited the competition at the third-round stage, but McKenzie's showing provided a positive.
Enjoyed an authoritative afternoon as Rovers shocked Preston and helped himself to a goal into the bargain - to put the visitors ahead for a second time.
Calm and unflustered, the Owls captain is back to his unflappable best as he helped Wednesday record a third clean sheet in five matches.
The Boro stalwart has had a few knocks this season, but his unquenchable character is beyond question. Typically assertive performance against Peterborough, crowned by a rare goal.
