HULL CITY are chasing the signature of former QPR defender Nedum Onuoha, who left Loftus Road at the end of last season.

The centre-half, 31 - available on a free transfer - is seen a viable experienced central defensive option to help step into the breach following the departure of Michael Dawson.

Onuoha, who began his career with boyhood club Manchester City, has made over 300 appearances in the Premier League and Championship.

Tigers chief Nigel Adkins has not given up hope of keeping Nottingham Forest and Vitesse Arnhem target Max Clark and feels that ‘deep down’ he wants to stay at the KCOM Stadium.

Adomah is understood to be willing to stay at Villa Park but the Villa hierarchy may decide to consider bids for the player.

Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is open to returning to Middlesbrough, following his successful loan spell last season.

Blues manager Marco Silva is likely to overhaul the club’s squad, which could lead to Besic heading to pastures.
