Sheffield United have been linked with a move for Shrewsbury Town midfielder Jon Nolan.

Nolan was an integral part of Shrewsbury’s third-place finish in League One, however he has since handed in a transfer request, with United keen on a move.

The Blades are also still hoping to sign Ipswich Town’s Martyn Waghorn.

Middlesbrough are hoping to complete the signing of England youth international Sheyi Ojo, after he was given the green light to leave Liverpool on loan by manager Jurgen Klopp.

“For me, he is a no-brainer, to be honest, and I think that will happen,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com. “It makes sense for him to go on loan. That’s how it is for a few of the others.”

Aston Villa are also rumoured to be interested in the Liverpool winger who spent last season with Fulham.

Hull City’s latest bid for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Oliver Norwood has been rebuffed by the Premier League side.

A joint bid for Norwood and Jiri Skalak last month had been rejected, with the latter now likely to join Millwall, however Nigel Adkins still harbours hope of bringing Norwood to the KCOM Stadium.

Huddersfield Town are hopeful of offloading Michael Hefele, Collin Quaner and Scott Malone, with the trio not making the trip to Austria with David Wagner’s side.

Town are waiting to see if there will be interest before the deadline, however they can still sell or loan players after the transfer deadline to clubs outside of England.
