They had tied on 46pts with Rudding Park duo Neil Walker and Ben Quick and a back nine count back could not separate them.

However, 17pts accumulated in the last half a dozen holes meant victory went to Jordan and Hudson.

Each club had designated three pairs to compete for the Knaresborough Trophy, Bedale's 123 aggregate good enough to leave Rudding Park and Masham in second place by three points. Otley were fourth on 118.

Hudson and Jordan had opened with three net birdies and added a fourth at the ninth for an outward tally of 22pts.

Jordan birdied the 397-yard par-4 11th for a net eagle, but the pair's only one-pointer of the day followed at the 12th.

However, they made amends with their handful of net birdies in the final third of the round to secure victory.
