NEW English men's champion Dan Brown, of Masham, has been selected to represent England in next week's Home Internationals at Nairn.

And alongside him will be Yorkshire county team-mate James Walker (The Oaks).

Brown became the White Rose's third English men's amateur champion in succession when he lifted the title last Saturday at Ganton.

Walker won the Selborne Salver earlier this year and also reached the semi-finals of the Spanish amateur championship.

Their team-mates at Nairn will be Adam Chapman (Cumbria), Will Enefer (Shropshire), Harry Hall (Cornwall), Josh Hilleard (Somerset), Marco Penge (Sussex), Alfie Plant (Kent), Gian-Marco Petrozzi (Staffordshire), Ashton Turner (Lincolnshire) and Jack Yule (Norfolk).

England will be seeking to regain the Home Internationals title after a three-year gap, having last won at Ganton in 2013.

Brown and Walker are currently in Estonia, along with Yorkshire team-mates Jamie Bower (Meltham), Steve Robins (Hull), Will Whiteoak (Shipley) and Jonathan Thomson (Rotherham) competing in the European amateur championship at Estonian Golf & Country Club.
