Yorkshire golf: Leeds Golf Centre extends deal as David Leadbetter Golf Academy

LEEDS Golf Centre has announced its partnership with world renowned coach David Leadbetter has been extended for a further four years.

The centre was chosen as the UK headquarters of The Leadbetter Golf Academy in 2013 and employs two certified Leadbetter instructors as part of its six-man team of PGA professionals.

Chris Parker, Leadbetter Academy Manager & Senior Instructor, has been a certified Leadbetter instructor since 2003, during which time he has assisted Leadbetter in coaching Tour players Frederick Jacobsen, Nick Price, Na Yeon Choi and Suzanne Pettersen among others.

Certified Leadbetter instructor and PGA professional Joe Feather is a former Leeds and Yorkshire player. Winner of PGA trainee of the year in 2011, he is a former Asian Tour, Alps Tour and EuroPro Tour player, and has had multiple professional tournament victories.

Nigel Sweet, Leeds Golf Centre’s Operations Manager, said: “The Leadbetter Academy has been extremely valuable in strengthening and reinforcing our position as a leading Golf Centre, offering globally recognised golf instruction.

"It’s a great privilege to renew our partnership for a further four years and continue to offer golfers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn from world-class instructors”.
