'I'm a Swiftie through and through - but I don't really like The Tortured Poets Department'
I'm currently reading
Confession time - nothing. I’m going to completely expose myself as the absolute non-reader I am. I read a book back in 2017, and it was nice, a six out of ten experience, but to be honest, being a freelancer, I never sit down to read because of a guilt that comes over me that I really should be doing some sort of work.
I spend a lot of time on trains going to and from auditions and you’d really think that would be a perfect time to read, but no, that time is strictly reserved for staring out of the Thameslink (I’m down in Brighton at the moment) window, zoning out and emptying every single thought from my brain.

Ultimately, I convince myself that I am simply too busy to read - and that is because I have Tiktok- and if I don’t watch all those rug deep cleaning advertising videos then who on earth will?
I've been listening to
Taylor Swift’s new album - it has but 31 tracks, which, yes, is so excessive, but you’ve got to admire the woman’s productivity. I’m not sure I like a single song out of all of them, but I am a Swiftie through and through so I will trudge through this album - while kidding myself I’m enjoying it.
Every time I finish it all the way through, however, I reward myself with a couple of Robbie Williams bangers. Just for balance. I’ve got a ticket to go and see her, so that’s all sorted.
On TV, I've been watching
The Robbie Williams documentary on Netflix. It’s made me remember how good he was when he went solo, and his originality.
The live performance I'd recommend is

Hide AdA completely incredible show with which I am no way affiliated with called Anna Soden: It Comes Out Your Bum, my first solo comedy hour entirely about poo, and bodily functions, which may or may not also be a musical.
I did a “work in progress” performance late last year, and I’ve just played It’s at Brighton Spiegeltent, and there are other places after that I haven’t booked yet, so I’m being quite brazen to be plugging it already, but there you are, I am definitely never one to miss a golden opportunity.
My next box set will be
Desperate Housewives. I binged it in 2022 but just enough time has passed for me start it up again. This one, I believe, is truly iconic. I googled Eva Longoria and turns out I’m the same age as her in the first season of the show, and that is totally fine with me, because we are surely at similar levels of fame and wealth in our careers.
The App I couldn't be without is
Vinted. Flipping heck, this has to be the most brilliant (but also most dangerous and addictive) app in the world. It’s like some sort of bizarre game on your phone that makes you poor and your house full of old shoes.

Hide AdSometimes I’ll imagine a piece of clothing and I’ll just type it into Vinted to see if it exists, and – to my complete amazement - it does, and it’s £17. This is where I start to haggle and I begin my bargaining and I suggest something like £3.50.
And then there’s a pause, and it’s where they come back and they say: “No babe it’s £17, that’s the asking price”. This is where I have a little think about why I want it so much, and then I buy it for the original asking price after dropping the bargaining. and it then arrives a week later and it doesn’t fit.
Trust me, it is hours of fun. People also buy inordinate amounts of vinyl and CDs on Vinted – trust me, its highly addictive.
What is at the top of your To do" Bucket list?
Everyone simply must go to a festival this year! To catch some live event. I went to Hastings’s traditional Jack in the Green celebration just recently and it was great, I had several local ciders in the rain, and it suddenly occurred to me that nothing says “British summer” more than a hired-in loo way out in the middle of a wet field.

Hide AdI’m taking my one-woman adaptation of Five Children and It to Deershed festival near Thirsk in a month or so, and truly cannot wait for that post show-post cider journey across the field to the nearest Portaloo!
Also, I need to go for a sea swim at some point but I have yet to attempt it this year, because of two fears - of not wanting to be freezing cold, and also the other current hazard. You all know what I’m talking about there.
