"The new album is a work in progress, and that's why we've done this special lanyard version. This will actually allow you to see the process happening," he said.

“It's really for super fans, because there'll be videos every couple of weeks of me going, 'do you like this song? Is this the direction we want to go? 'And we'll be swayed a bit. You know, if we play a song and people love it, that will take us in some direction.

"I've got a provisional album title in my head, and I've got four or five really great songs, which, again, I'm sort of working with. I'm in LA, it's sunny, the music is going to be sunny and fun and happy, a bit soulful, a bit Motown - it's music to make you smile.

"When the three of us get together in a room or record music together, it always feels a bit like that first album. Just three guys in a room really is the key to a great song. So it will be, classic Scouting."

They've sold more han two million records, had over a billion streams, eight top 40 singles, won countless awards - including an Ivor Novello - played to fans all over the world and celebrated four top 20 albums.

The 2010 album famously spawned the No.1 single This Ain’t A Love Song, and cemented the band’s place in British pop history with over 300,000 domestic sales.

Of the Everybody Wants To Be On TV 15th anniversary celebration he laughed: "We’re a band after any excuse for a party or a gig.

"We wanted to do something for this album, for its 10th anniversary, but that was during lockdown, so we ended up just doing a couple of track by track releases and talked about it. So this is a chance for fans to hear a few of the deeper cuts from that album, on the tour.

"We'll be doing most of the album live, but because it was only half an hour t will also give us time to do all the big hits, which everyone loves. We'll play one, maybe two new songs. The whole night is about taking people on a really fun sing along nostalgic ride."

He said they used to feel the pressure to repeat chart success after their first self-titled album sold over a million records.

" I've learned now that the only thing that's important is that you love the song. That's the most important thing, because that's how that first album came about. It was because I genuinely loved those songs. The songs that do the best are the ones that I genuinely love.

"The secret to is just loving what we do.”
