Popular McCain Yorkshire Coast races return as entries open for 2026 event
Entries are set to open for the 2026 McCain Yorkshire Coast races, with thousands of runners expected to take part in the annual event in Scarborough.
On Monday (Jun 1), entries will open for the McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K, 5K, and Fun Run.
The event, which will take place on October 11, is open to runners of all ages and abilities.
Entries for the runs go live at 7am on Monday and organisers say spaces are limited.
Runners taking on the 10K will start and finish at Scarborough SPA, following a scenic coastal route around South Bay, past the harbour, around the headland and into North Bay. The course then passes through the Open-Air Theatre before returning to the SPA for a memorable finish.

Organisers say by taking part runners will also support both sustainability and fundraising initiatives.
The event is part of the Run For All charity portfolio.
Run For All is part of Jane Tomlinson CBE’s lasting legacy. Jane raised £1.85m for children’s and cancer charities before her untimely death from cancer aged just 43 in 2007.
She made headlines across the world by competing in a series of epic endurance challenges from the London Marathon, Ironman and triathlon competitions, to a 4,200 mile cycle ride across the width of the USA – despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer.
Andrew Hoff, Managing Director, McCain GB&I, said: “Scarborough has been home to McCain GB for over 50 years, and as a proud local employer, we’re delighted to host the much-loved McCain Yorkshire Coast races once again with Run for All. It’s always a great day and we encourage participants of all ages and abilities to join in.
“The event offers a brilliant opportunity to enjoy and celebrate our stunning coastline while supporting causes that make a real difference. Don’t forget to secure your spot.”
Tristan Batley-Kyle, Director of Operations at Run For All, said: ‘We are proud to deliver the McCain Yorkshire Coast for a second year. It’s a fantastic community event and one we are delighted to be part of.
“With its stunning route, incredible local support, and strong fundraiser element, it’s a must-do race, and we would encourage anyone thinking of taking part to sign up once entries open to avoid missing out.”
