Lloyds strengthens SME division

Lloyds TSB Commercial, the division of Lloyds Banking Group which supports small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has appointed David Streather as a senior manager in Yorkshire.

Mr Streather leads a team of nine relationship managers who cover Hull, Scarborough and York. Mr Streather will be working with Yorkshire’s new area director Martyn Kendrick.

He has worked at the bank for 30 years, having previously held several business development managerial roles across the North East and Yorkshire.

Mr Streather said: “Yorkshire’s businesses have proven resilient in recent months, as our latest PMI research showed that companies in the Yorkshire and Humber region continued to experience activity growth in July, despite the pressures placed upon them by ongoing global trends.

“However, it’s still vital that they receive the funding and support they require, as the economic recovery is far from certain.

“My focus over the coming year will be to build solid, long-term relationships with local businesses and the wider community.”
