The 10 British and American aircraft due to take part in tomorrow's Mi Amigo flypast have been making the final preparations for their journey to Sheffield.

The commemoration event will mark the 75th anniversary of the wartime crash of the American bomber Mi Amigo, which came down in Endcliffe Park with the loss of 10 airmen. At 8.45am on Friday, 10 aircraft from both the British and US air forces will fly low over the park in front of thousands of people. They will approach Sheffield from the south east. The aircraft have gathered at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk today. Photos by Kurt Fairhurst.
