Whether you’re looking to refresh your dining area, carpeting your entire house, or tracking down exciting lighting and accessories, you’ll surely be inspired by their room sets and ranges.

As well as offering such a striking choice when it comes to your home, what also stands out about Rodgers is that they do as much as they can to operate in an environmentally way. They adopt a proactive approach to recycling – whether that’s all paper, cardboard and plastic packaging, through to bigger elements like recycling furniture and carpets collected from customer’s homes as part of their service – minimise landfill waste (just 15% of their waste goes to landfill), and also work in partnership with York Community Furniture Store, donating furniture to help those most in need.

Their environmental approach extends to the brands they feature, and here we pick out five that truly highlight how being sustainable does not impact on quality of design.

The Norwegian company manufactures elegant sofas and chairs. They re-use materials to cut back on the need for additional resources, such as using the European beech for chair bases. The excess wood chips are collected and burned to produce the heat used in their factory and offices, and scrap leather is collected and sold to companies who make smaller leather products.

Sustainable materials are sought, and they only use water based paints and lacquers. When purchasing a Stressless product you are investing in comfort, but are also making a sustainable and responsible choice – their products are so well made they will last a lifetime.
