Stolen tractor used to cause damage to Pickering farm

A tractor was stolen and used to cause 'substantial' damage to farmland near Pickering.

It happened on Thornton Lane between 6pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday and involved a blue, New Holland tractor.

North Yorkshire Police is conducting enquiries and requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, officers are appealing for information about any suspicious vehicles that may have been seen in the area between those times.
