The Yorkshire Post says: Heralding success of town crier competition
The event held in Helmsley on Saturday included town criers from Bermuda and Nova Scotia, as well as more local entrants from Scarborough, Filey, Darlington, Knaresborough, Malton and Norton.
The Helmsley Walled Garden at Helmsley Castle provided an appropriately dramatic backdrop for the sights and sounds of the unusual contest, which also included representatives of towns in Devon, Somerset, Surrey, Kent, and Staffordshire.
