Chorister and her manager vie for prize
Isabel Suckling, 13, is nominated for her album, The Choirgirl Isabel, while mentor Jones is up for his Christmas Gift release. Other nominees include Bryn Terfel, Russell Watson and Andre Rieu.
Members of the public will choose one of 10 nominees to win the title at next month’s awards, marking the most populist of the categories.

Hide AdThe top male artist category sees a posthumous nomination for Sir Charles Mackerras, who died last July, with tenor Rolando Villazon and pianist Antonio Pappano, both up for two awards. The best female shortlist includes trumpeter Alison Balsom, violinist Nicola Benedetti and Dame Mitsuko Uchid.
The event – formerly known as the Classical Brit Awards – is being hosted by Myleene Klass at the Royal Albert Hall on May 12.
