Video: Jet ski enthusiasts take to the flood waters on York’s Knavesmire

YORK’S KNAVESMIRE is used to hosting top class sporting action, but it was the scene of an unfamiliar activity on New Year’s Eve.

River levels in York have dropped, but Knavesmire - home of the world famous racecourse, just outside the city centre - remains under water.

Local jet ski enthusiasts took advantage of the conditions to try out their sport, to the delight of onlookers.
