Hole of Horcum: Incredible photos show deep December snowfall in North York Moors

Yorkshire Post photographer Simon Hulme captured these stunning scenes at beauty spot the Hole of Horcum as the east coast woke up to heavy snowfall.

Whitby and Scarborough were also hit and the former was cut off by road for several hours after two A roads became blocked with drifts and abandoned vehicles.

Yet the rest of Yorkshire saw barely a snowflake during the predicted last few days of the Arctic blast.
