FC HALIFAX Town manager Neil Aspin said his team’s first 35 minutes were as good as they had played at home all season as they battled to a 3-2 win over Dover.

Halifax raced into a 2-0 lead through Lois Maynard, returning after a three-game ban, and Richard Peniket before Tom Murphy got a goal back ahead of the break.

Substitute Jamie Jackson restored Halifax’s two-goal lead with a somewhat fortunate cross-shot before Dan Holman’s goal made for a nervy finish.
