ROTHERHAM UNITED have completed the signing of former Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson on a one-year deal.

The 30-year-old has become Alan Stubbs’ fifth summer signing and will join up with the Millers squad tomorrow morning ahead of the big kick off against Wolverhampton Wanderers this Saturday.

The Nottingham-born central defender boasts a wealth of experience in the Championship following two successful stints with Forest.

He started his career with neighbours Notts County which earned him his first break in English football’s second tier at Preston North End.

He joined Forest, then in League One, for £300,000 helping them to promotion to the Championship in 2008.

Wilson later moved to Celtic in 2011 and after two years at Parkhead, he returned to the City Ground after Forest paid a reported £2.5 million fee for his signature in 2013.

He played 14 times in all competitions for Forest last term before moving to AESSEAL New York Stadium.
