Rotherham Titans have signed Harlequins tighthead prop Matt Shields in readiness for next season.

The former England Counties front-row, 27, made eight appearances for the Premiership side this term but is looking for more game-time.

Elsewhere, Doncaster Knights have captured Bedford Blues scrum-half Tom James ahead of 2017-18.
