Cautious Radford warns Hull to be wary of backlash

Super League leaders Hull expect their hosts to respond after being knocked out of the Challenge Cup by Wakefield Trinity despite currently being joint-bottom of the competition.

“They’re a good side; you only have to look at the 17 that they are putting out each week and that will tell you they’re a good team,” insisted Radford, as his own side target an 11th straight win.

“If they perform to their capabilities it will be a really tough evening.

“Huddersfield will be wanting a response from their loss in the Challenge Cup to Wakefield. It’s going to be tough and it always is there.

“The fact the atmosphere probably isn’t as high tempo as it is at other grounds usually takes a little bit of the sting out of the game. It’s about us trying to create our own atmosphere within the 13 players that are on the field and making sure we play the game at our tempo.”

Meanwhile, Hull KR welcome back Australian winger Ken Sio, full-back Ben Cockayne and France duo Kevin Larroyer and John Boudebza for tomorrow’s home game with Warrington.

Matty Marsh and Kieran Dixon make way as does James Greenwood, the second-row who picked up a back injury in training yesterday and awaits a specialist’s report on its severity.

Castleford Tigers winger Denny Solomona is out of tomorrow’s game at Salford with an unspecified injury along with Lee Jewitt but Paddy Flynn, the on-loan wideman from Widnes Vikings, returns.
