A Sheffield Job Centre sign has been put up on one building on Alexandra Street and a police car has been seen being used for one scene.

The series - to be shown on Disney Plus - will see the cast from the 1997 film reunite 25 years after their strip show shenanigans.

They include Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy Hugo Speer and Paul Barber.

Earlier in the summer there was a shoot on the Gleadless estate in Sheffield.

The crew even sourced a Sheffield United shirt from the 1990s for actor Robert Carlyle to wear from Gleadless resident Fred Wright, a collector whose niece put producers in touch with him when they were location scouting in her neighbourhood.

A newcomer to the cast is former Coronation Street actress Tupele Dorgu, 44, who played Kelly Crabtree in the soap.

Children and grandchildren of the original characters will feature in the new series, set to air in 2023.
