The vet asks his colleagues: “Has anyone seen a dog before that has ingested cocaine? The owner has one packet he is showing to the police and the other one he thinks is inside the dog."

Mr Norton checks the dog over and has to give him something to make him sick to find out what he has swallowed.

Dog owner Mr Simpkin says: “He has a good nose and is always sniffing things out but I’m worried he’s eaten the bag containing drugs."
