Yorkshire law firm Last Cawthra Feather has promoted its practice director and made two further appointments.

Practice director Cleo Howell has been appointed to membership of the company, which has offices in Leeds, Bradford, Shipley and Ilkley, after playing an instrumental role in the firm's significant business growth since joining in 2001.

His remit is to maintain the hotel's 4 AA Red Star standards, improve the restaurant's profile at a national level, and to expand the hotel's facilities in conjunction with the Swinton Estate which surrounds the hotel, based in Masham, North Yorkshire.

Industrial agent Gent Visick has promoted Nick Prescott to associate partner.

He joined Gent Visick in 2007 and became a member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors the same year.

Legal recruitment consultancy BCL Legal is growing its temporary contract department with the appointment of Catherine Hughes as the team's new senior manager.
