Brewer Acorn raises glass to festive period
Barnsley-based brewer Acorn enjoyed a strong festive sales performance, recording a rise of 29 per cent on 2008.
Altogether 87,500 pints of cask ale left the brewery in the run-up to Christmas.
Acorn managing director and head brewer Dave Hughes said: "We were delighted with December sales, which ended a year of steady growth on a high note as we continue to invest and develop new business.
