City hosts Junior Chamber convention

The UK’s future business leaders are due to descend on Sheffield this week, as the city hosts this year’s Junior Chamber International UK National Convention.

About 200 young business professionals from across the UK will attend the three-day event from November 25 to 27 at the Royal Victoria Holiday Inn.

A gala dinner and national awards ceremony will take place at Kelham Island Museum as part of the weekend event.

Junior Chamber International specialises in the personal development of young business people and professionals in their 20s and 30s by providing networking opportunities, training and social events.

The JCI groups based in Sheffield, Barnsley Bradford, Doncaster and Leeds joined forces to bring the event to Yorkshire, presenting their bid to the national JCI board, who in turn voted for the collaborative JCI Yorkshire team to host the event.
