Flooring Superstore sees sales surge and eyes further store openings

Flooring Superstore, which has stores in Huddersfield, Keighley, Doncaster and York, credits the rise to the pandemic-driven consumer trend for home makeovers.

Dan Foskett, CEO at Flooring Superstore, said: “We’ve no doubt that lockdown has had a direct impact on the increase in sales and sample requests, as people have been forced to spend more time at home.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to be in this position and appreciate it has been, and continues to be, an incredibly difficult time for many of our fellow retailers.”

Flooring Superstore has seen sample requests rise by 172 per cent and web sessions have increased by 99 per cent as many people take advantage of increased time at home to redecorate.

Searches for bathroom flooring, patterned vinyl flooring ranges, sisal carpets and grey carpets have been most common in particular, the firm said.

Flooring Superstore offers over 10,000 choices of flooring.

Flooring Superstore has 25 bricks and mortar stores across the UK and the firm has plans to open an additional 25 in 2021, creating 100 new job roles across the UK.

The digital first retailer says its robust online infrastructure enabled it to keep trading during the toughest restrictions put in place to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Mr Foskett said: “Our reactive approach to the closure of our stores, enabled us to quickly direct customers to our strong e-commerce platforms.

“This in turn has resulted in the expansion of our teams and we are still actively recruiting.

For renovators looking to warm up the living room with an ultra-soft carpet or modernise the kitchen with super sleek laminate, our extensive range of stylish flooring and accessories makes it easy to find the perfect style, comfort level and price.”
