Moda Furnishings employs a team of in-house designers to create its furniture, which aims to be functional while pushing the boundaries on traditional design.

Jonny Brierley, founder and chief executive, said: “Moda Furnishings is delighted to have opened in a such prestigious location within the heart of Leeds.

"This will provide the opportunity for people to see the quality of our ranges for themselves, and shop our latest collections in person.

"We have had a fantastic ecommerce customer base in Yorkshire for a number of years and we are very excited to now be able to offer our showroom experience in Leeds Victoria Quarter.

Moda was acquired in September 2019 in a management buyout led by Mr Brierley and operations director Vallan McCarthy, backed by Leeds-based mid-market private equity investor Endless.

In 2020, it agreed a £7m deal with Secure Trust Bank, as it expanded its outdoor living product range and opened new showrooms across the UK to support its ecommerce-first trading model.

In 2021, it agreed a new £17m funding package with Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance, as UK demand for outdoor living continued to soar.

The retailer has a £25m turnover and employs about 70 people.
