Morrisons to extend payments to small suppliers until the end of January
The Bradford-based firm has been making these immediate payments to help small foodmakers and farmers with their cash flow since March.

Hide AdThe firm said the payments highlight its support for British farmers in the week British Food Fortnight comes to a close.
The 5 per cent discount that Morrisons’ farmers receive on their grocery shop is also being extended to thank them as they continue to help feed the nation.
David Potts, chief executive of Morrisons, said: “Suppliers and farmers have told us they face ongoing pressure and we want to be there for them during this challenging period.

Earlier this week, Morrisons announced plans to create over a thousand permanent jobs to fulfil orders for its services on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon Prime Now.
Morrisons is recruiting colleagues to pick and pack customer orders from over 50 stores, covering most major cities and many towns.
