Turner & Townsend appoints new MD at UK infrastructure business
He has spent 14 years with the business since joining as a graduate. During that time he has designed and implemented commercial strategies, assurance functions and managed major programme delivery teams for a number of high profile capital investment programmes, including Heathrow Airport’s transformation, Anglian Water, High Speed 2 and Crossrail. He was previously head of Turner & Townsend’s 500-strong infrastructure South team and a member of the UK board.
Mr Whysall, who has been part of the Leeds-based company’s infrastructure leadership team for the past six years, will report to Turner & Townsend’s UK managing director and executive board member Patricia Moore and manage a team of 900 people across the UK and Ireland. The infrastructure business covers the transport, power, utilities and defence sectors and has seen 20 per cent year-on-year growth over the past three years with turnover now reaching £100m in 2017/18.
