Britain’s 100 Best Local Restaurants 2026: Seven Yorkshire restaurants named among the best in the country by Good Food Guide
The Good Food Guide has announced its list of 100 Best Local Restaurants for 2026 - and seven are based in Yorkshire.
The Best Local Restaurants by the Good Food Guide has been released for 16 years this year and the awards celebrate the community-based restaurants that offer value for money and top quality cooking.
In recent years it has highlighted restaurants such as Bavette in Horsforth and Lucky Lychee in Winchester.
In Yorkshire, there are three new entries on the list this year with some familiar restaurants that have been honoured again such as Bavette, Black Wheat Club in York and The Nettle in Settle.

The regional winner for Yorkshire and the North East is Black Wheat Club and the overall winner is La Locanda in Lancashire.
Head of reviews and listings at the Good Food Guide, Chloe Hamilton, said: “In the face of adversity, creativity has flourished in unusual and unlikely places.
“It has been hugely rewarding to see how these tiny operations are offering outstanding quality in a way that so clearly strikes a chord with the local crowd. Arrive with an open mind and a good appetite and you’ll be brilliantly rewarded.”
