James Martin serves up new restaurant in Leeds

The Leeds Kitchen will open to the public on Saturday April 9 and will be serving British cuisine “with a twist”.

More than 25 staff including front of house and chefs have already been taken on ahead of it opening in the Alea Casino in Clarence Dock.

Malton-born James, who presents the BBC show Saturday Kitchen, said: “Leeds and Yorkshire is the perfect place for me to open my new restaurant.

“With a great young team, both in the kitchen and front of house, we are really looking forward to the opening.

“Being a Yorkshireman, it’s not hard to understand why the produce is so good in the area and we are going to use it to maximum affect on the menu.”
