Access plans for A1 upgrade to go on display

REVISED proposals for a new local access road between Scotch Corner and Barton – as part of a major scheme to upgrade part of the A1 in North Yorkshire to a three-lane motorway – will go on show this week.

The plans, which have been published as part of the A1 Leeming to Barton motorway upgrade scheme, will be on display at public exhibitions at Middleton Tyas Primary School, Kneeton Lane, Richmond, DL10 6SF, tomorrow from 2pm to 8pm and Friday from 10am to 8pm.

The Highways Agency intends to upgrade the A1 between Leeming and Barton to a three-lane motorway and to create an alternative route for local traffic.
