The family of the terminally-ill Sunderland fan, who suffers from a rare cancer called neuroblastoma, have had to cancel several holidays in the past as he was too unwell to travel.

Bradley has moved people around the world with his battle against the disease and has even struck up a friendship with footballer Jermain Defoe.

Several events have taken place across Yorkshire to raise money for Bradley's Fight.

In a post on the Bradley Lowery's fight against neuroblastoma Facebook page, mother Gemma wrote: "Well after booking up and having to cancel several holidays the day has come where we are going away to Scarborough for a break.

"Bradley is super excited and is feeling good in himself when he is awake.

"We not sure if we will get to stop the full week yet but we will just take each day as it comes."

Last month Bradley was joined by striker Defoe and Sunderland keeper Vito Mannone for his birthday party.

The celebrations also included fire-eaters, a funfair, marquee, jugglers and stilt-walkers.

Bradley also walked out with Defoe for his England comeback match at Wembley.
