Chief executive Sarah Champion said: “We decided to hold this open day to show local people how important their continued support is, and to thank the public for continuing to help fundraise for our charity. It costs 2.5m every year to provide care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, which means the child is not expected to reach adulthood.”

The hospice receives no statutory government funding and relies on public support. The event will run from 10am to 4pm.
