Community garden officially opened
The new Edgehill Community Garden is part of a wider regeneration of the area and was officially opened by the town's Deputy Mayor and Mayoress John and Jackie Blackburn, yesterday.
The design of the garden incorporates fruit trees, low level shrubs and a decorative walkway while a community mosaic is also planned.

Hide AdPat Lee, a trustee with the Edgehill Community Association and a member of the Edgehill Tenants and Residents' Association, said: "It was brilliant to see the garden's grand opening.
"But like all the best gardens it took time to grow and it was great to celebrate with the residents of Edgehill our achievements in making it happen."
The garden – which was paid for by lottery funding – was created by the Edgehill Community Association, pupils and staff from the Butterfly Nursery, Hinderwell and Springhead schools, and members of the Rotary Club of Scarborough Cavaliers.
Two years' work was topped off with a planting session at the end of October.
