Duo found guilty of murdering man who was beaten to death with an iron in Yorkshire
Two people are to be sentenced for the murder of a man who was beaten to death with an iron in Yorkshire.
Zbigniew Chlebek and Beata Walczak were found guilty of the murder Jaroslav Daniszewski, 43, who was found dead at a house in Stead Street in Shipley in April 2025.
West Yorkshire Police said it was called by Chlebek, of Stead Street, on the morning of April 22.
The force said the 66-year-old said: “I don’t know what’s happened, all I know that there is a man lying here.. and well he’s dead.”
Officers arrived at the scene to find Mr Daniszewski dead on the living room floor with significant injuries to his head and face.
An iron, which was used to carry out the attack was found containing blood from Mr Daniszewski. There were also signs of a disturbance in the property and damage had been caused inside.

Chlebek and Walczak, 58, of no fixed abode, will be sentenced on Thursday (Oct 29).
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Matt Holdsworth, of West Yorkshire Police’s homicide and major enquiry team said: "This investigation centred on a sustained assault in which Jaroslav was subjected to a prolonged assault with an iron and then left unconscious by those responsible.
“Rather than seeking help for a gravely injured man, the defendants left him to die.
"The evidence gathered by the investigation team demonstrated not only the severity of the attack but also the deliberate failure of the offenders to provide or summon assistance when it was clear the victim was in urgent need of medical attention.
"The conviction of those responsible is the result of meticulous investigative work by the Detectives in partnership forensic scientists involved and reflects our determination to secure justice for victims of serious violence.
"Our sincere condolences remain with the Jaroslav’s loved ones at this time and hope that the verdicts today provide some comfort."
