M18 collision: Lorry driver, 41, dies in six-vehicle crash in South Yorkshire

A lorry driver has died after three HGVs, two cars and a van collided on the M18 near Doncaster yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said: "Emergency services were called to the M18 at 5.02pm yesterday afternoon (25 July), to reports that three articulated lorries, two cars and a Transit van had collided, on the approach to Junction 2 northbound for Wadworth.

"The driver of one lorry, a 41-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"Four drivers in the other vehicles suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital and their conditions are not considered life threatening.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the lorry driving immediately prior to the incident to get in touch, particularly if you have dashcam footage.
