Trial date set for four defendants, including boys aged 16 and 17, accused of the murder of Lewis Williams in Mexborough

A trial date has been set for four defendants accused of the murder of Mexborough man Lewis Williams.

Jack Parkes, 20, of Arnold Crescent, Doncaster; Ryan Nisbet, 20, of Springwood Road, Barnsley; and two boys, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday charged with murder of 21-year-old Mr Williams.

They are due to enter pleas at a hearing on April 16 and a trial, scheduled to last three weeks, is scheduled to start on September 6.

All four defendants were remanded in custody.

Mr Williams died on Wath Road, Mexborough, on the afternoon of January 11.
