Leeds rooftop bar named Britain's second-best restaurant view

A popular rooftop bar in Leeds city centre has been named as having one of Britain's most stunning restaurant views.

Writer Joanne Gould picked Bar Angelica, at Trinity Leeds, as the second-best 'table' in the country for the views offered to diners.

Punters at Angelica can enjoy wide-ranging views over the city skyline, including landmarks such as Holy Trinity Church, from its garden terrace.

The list of 20 destinations was topped by the South Sands restaurant in Salcombe, Devon, which has a tranquil beachside location.

Bar Angelica even beat famous dining spots such as Gaucho Tower Bridge in London, which was the author's eighth choice.

The only other Yorkshire destination on the list is Tapasya, an Indian restaurant boasting views over Hull Marina and which is described as having a 'Riviera vibe'.
