Morrisons is cleaning up; now stop free-for-all in stores – The Yorkshire Post says

NO wonder Morrisons is cleaning up in the supermarket stakes under the transformative leadership of David Potts who continues to stand up for the values that served the late Sir Ken Morrison, the firm’s founding father, so well.

The announcement that 2,240 new cleaning roles are to be created points to the Bradford retail giant recognising the importance of hygiene as the country learns to work and live with Covid-19.

It also follows on from the painstaking work that Morrisons undertook to control the number of shoppers entering its stores at the height of the lockdown to minimise the risk of the infection being transmitted.

Our request, as new measures are put in place to counter a surge in new cases, is that Morrisons – and its rivals – return to this best practice to both reassure those customers observing rules on face coverings and help to rmeind the less compliant on social distancing that it’s not a free-for-all; we are still all in this together.
