Why is Andy Burnham revisiting the issue of Brexit after promising not to? - Yorkshire Post Letters
From: Peter Auty, Great Hatfield.
Following on from Cameron, May, Truss, Johnson and Starmer we now have another deceitful PM in office in the UK.
Informing his constituents in the Makerfield by-election when asked about Brexit "we should not be opening those old arguments", I wonder what they think now about the deceitfulness.
The UK deserves much better from people who take the top office of Prime Minister of the UK, someone with the guts to take the hard decisions, and there are many of them, and start getting the country back in good shape.

Too many people taking out of a diminishing pot of taxes, welfare needs reform, net zero is really hurting the UK, food security, not enough funding, defence, not enough funding, NHS over manned with management, schools crumbling, care for the elderly, not enough funding, crime rising, more police on the ground needed badly, immigration out of control.
All these problems and our deceitful PM's answer is to bring Brexit to the front line once more, even though he has said in the past "I accept the Brexit referendum", another labour PM who speaks one day and the next day it's a humiliating U-turn.
Are these the actions and statements we want to hear? It appears to me like a smoke screen, someone who wanted the top job very desperately and has now got there and is out of his depth.
We the electorate of the UK deserve far better from our supposedly peers, I won't be holding my breath though.
